 We used this product for our hunting property. I actually bought a 2nd one after the results it gave us. The pictures were clear and it took tons of pictures. I didn’t even realize it had video when I bought it. That was a nice perk too. I like how it was easy to use. We didn’t have to worry that we didn’t have it setup right.

I really like this little camera. We purchased this trail cam for the 1-acre wooded lot we just moved to, mainly use it to see what is visiting the barn and to check out what’s living in various “holes” on the property. In just three days we caught several good quality videos of a raccoon at night, which was pretty cool since we’ve not seen any during the evening hours we’ve been awake and outside. We also caught a picture of a hummingbird who was checking out the camera! The expected crowd of feral cats and an abundance of rabbits made appearances. We were curious as to what creatures might be adventuring in our yard at night. For $40 it’s pretty inexpensive entertainment.

The video and picture quality has been excellent for our needs. It seems to be quite sensitive as we’ve captured many pictures during the day. The settings and features are easy to set up. Reminded me of an old school digital camera set up before smartphones. It was super easy to transfer the videos/photos to my computer with the included USB cord. We love looking through them each weekend! We would definitely recommend it!

It is very easy to install. I would suggest getting a nice big memory card to have plenty of storage. The rechargeable power source is more than abundant for multiple nights of recording. I like to move it around and it has hardware for temporary and more permanent mounting. All in all, Apeman has made a great camera at a low cost.

I really like the products from Apeman, and was happy to review this camera. I have two other cameras from Apeman, and I really appreciate that their cameras include a screen directly on the camera so you don’t have to read the card to view your photos/videos. However, there are some downsides to the H45. I don’t like that the screen is on the side that flips out, so you can’t see what you are pointing at without taking a test photo. This can easily be overcome by the test photo, so not a game changer. I would also like sturdier clips to close the camera and I think the strap could be wider (maybe an inch wide as is). The positives, however, outweigh the negatives. It is an affordable camera with a screen, it ships quickly, it has a great battery compartment so the batteries don’t move around a lot, it takes great photos/videos, and it is really easy to set up. I would definitely recommend this camera to any novice hunter that wants an inexpensive camera with a screen.

OK, so the “Game” I captured the first night I used this wasn’t great (expecting armadillo and got a field mouse) but it did show that you can read the instruction book, set the details you want, put it in place and be capturing images right away. It also shows that the camera is effective on pretty small creatures.

I got 17 images and 17 videos (I have it set to capture a still with each video) and in some the mouse was barely visible at the edge of a frame but the camera triggered and captured it. I think I will change it to do 3 stills in the future.

Also, I have it set right now to begin “watching” at 20:00 (8:00 p.m.) and stop at 06:00 (6:00 a.m.) so I have no daylight images but I’ll try that later. I was interested in confirming that it is an armadillo that is rooting around in our shrubs during the night.

Easy to set up. Fun to use.
