This is great for my skin (I have dry, flaky skin) after washing my face, and it doesn’t burn upon application at all. It also helps my moisturizer last longer on my skin, since normally without it my skin gets dry at the end of the day even with moisturizer. I also like how I can apply a little bit to problem areas and then moisturize and they’ll stay hydrated for the rest of the day without drying out. It does a great job in retaining hydration and keeping my skin from drying out, so that I don’t have disgusting dry patches on my face around my nose and eyebrows. I will definitely use this daily with my moisturizer since it really helps a bunch with my skin problems.

Although I haven’t noticed a big difference in the look and feel of my skin using this toner like some reviewers – I have to say that it is by far the best non-irritating, alcohol free toner I’ve ever tried. There’s no burning, tightening, or drying sensation but it will remove any traces of makeup my face washing missed before I apply my moisturizer or treatments. Although it feels weird to describe a toner like this, it also has a really refreshing, thirst-quenching sort of feel to it. I’m on my second bottle and I will definitely keep re-stocking it.
The Thayer’s Witch Hazel Toner with the Rose Petal scent is just as nice if your skin can handle the fragrance.

i’ve tried different types of the thayers witch hazel, but this one is by far my favorite! the antibacterial properties really helped clear my problem skin compared to the rose water version

So far I am a huge fan! I have always had acne proned skin. I had a terrible breakout last week, and I bought this toner because of the reviews. My breakout has since vanished, and I don’t have any pimples right now! After the initial breakout, I did get a pimple here and there and this toner seems to get rid of them overnight. I am worried that my skin will get used to the ingredients and start breaking out again eventually. I will update in a few months.

I was using a toner from the Body Shop for over 6 months and my acne growth never reduced, in fact I started growing acne on places I never grew before (cheeks and chin). I heard great things about this witch hazel toner and decided to make the switch. I’ve been using it for two weeks now and the results are instant … after 5 years of consistent acne on my forehead (there is ALWAYS acne on my forehead) I haven’t had any in those 2 weeks. 100% recommend.

Update: after about a year of twice a day use I had to completely stop using witch hazel on my face. Although I stopped breaking out (see original review), I started to get blackheads and Whiteheads on my forehead that wouldn’t go away and I couldn’t figure out why. It got pretty bad so I started using BHA 2% in my routine and only found it to slightly help reduce the black and Whiteheads but not completely eliminate it – which was troubling because BHA is meant to clear it up. I started reading up on witch hazel and found that it can actually be really drying and irritate the skin, making acne worse. I am pretty sure this was happening with me. Anyway, I stopped using the toner but am continuing to use BHA and my forehead is the best it has been in a long time.

I use this particular brand of witch hazel because it is unscented and alcohol free. I like to use it as a toner for my face care routine, and also in making aromatherapy sprays with essential oils. It is a great base for the sprays, as it has all the benefits of witch hazel, but with none of the unnecessary scents or drying alcohol. For face care it leaves your skin super clean and fresh feeling before you do any moisturizers or serums. Lots of uses and a super high quality item will keep me coming back for more 🙂

It’s behaves like a toner without stripping any hydration, but calms and hydrated as it refreshes. I’ve been fine with just plain witch hazel, but haven’t gone back since finding this. I have tried others that included aloe and various add-ins, and for some unknown reason, they did nothing for my skin. This is definitely a keeper, I’m glad I stumbled onto and tried it.

Used this product to make “padsicles” for postpartum recovery. Very gentle on a very sore area! I haven’t needed it for anything else but it has done the job for what I needed.

I used to LOVE thayers! Unfortunately they started added Phenoxythanol (to preserve the witch hazel) so it’s no longer all natural. I should’ve listened to other negative reviews. I’m bummed because I truly did love Thayers and it worked great for my skin. But this new ingredient has had an awful affect on my face and given me a new breakout. Disappointed but back to the hunt for another all natural witch hazel, which is not easy to come by.

I usually refrain from all sorts of commercially available chemical cosmetics but wanted to give this a try based on the benefits of witch hazel and the reviews. Let me keep it short because I have no words do describe how amazing this product is – this is just unreal. The amazing natural moisturizing, toning and clarifying properties of Witch Hazel along with a light sweet coconut fragrance that will transform you to another world. The best aftershave ever. No alcohol – no harsh chemicals. Face feels moisturized, soft and refreshed at the same time – no pore clogging or drying or stinging. I have used it only for a few times now and my skin in the beard area has become noticeably healthier – soft, hydrated and elastic. Best cosmetic purchase ever (yes – even though I do not use chemical cosmetics now, there was a time when I tried it all).
