Stable internet on nintendo switch. I ran over 100 tests wlon wireless, 5g wireless and this wired connection on nintendo switch. My baseline connection on wired pc and phone on 5g was Regular 60-65mbps down and 6mbps up. Nintendo switch results. wireless was between 8 and 11mbps down and 3 up. 5g was 28 to 42mbps dowb and 4.5 and 5.1 up. Wired with this unit was 37 to 40 down and 5.0 to 5.2 up. Bottom line it made the connection more consistent and faster up than 5g. My wireless router is about 5feet from the switch with direct line of sight.

    It works.

My laptop doesn’t have an Ethernet port (thanks, Apple), so I had to buy this USB adapter. Just plug in and go – no software needed. Small and lightweight, tiny LEDs light up when active. Minus a star because the 10/100 side of it is a tad loose and sometimes the cable slides out and I lose connection. Otherwise works like a charm.

    Product arrived on time.
Fortunately I bought 2 of these adapters. The first one I used worked and is still working. When i went to use the 2nd adapter it is broke and not working. Its past the return period and really needs to be replaced for being defective. Hit and miss on the items for me; 50/50. Gave 2 stars due to 1 worked, arrived on time, but no more stars than that because the other adapter is a nice paper weight now.
UPDATE: The company reached out to me and offered tech support. We went through a few troubleshooting steps for the adapter to double check. It was still unresponsive and not working. The company sent out a replacement immediately and arrived in 2 days. Thank you for your help and response to my problem. Both adapters work great and will use the company in future for more purchases. Thank you again.

    Pros
    – Cost! Nintendo wants to charge you $30 for a USB Ethernet adapter.
    – Works right out of the box with Nintendo Switch! I initially set it up utilizing one of the two USB ports on the side of the Switch Loading Dock. But for testing purposes I switched it to the USB port in the back next to the HDMI cable and it WORKED!
    – I was able to statically assign the the IP, Subnet, Gateway, and DNS without any problems using the Switch Internet interface.
    – No problems setting up a DHCP reservation for this card

    Cons
    – I wish it was 1000/100/10 instead of just a 100/10

    Other thoughts
    – I did not need to use the driver disk and I have not tested this device in a Windows environment because it was intended for use with the Nintendo Switch.

Wed 2/07/2018 4:46 pm. Asus Vivobook F510UA FHD 2016 Windows 10 laptop. With ugreen adapter, fails a ping test to a known network computer. With old adapter, works.

I had this same experience with an AmazonBasics USB 3 adapter, which I returned. And I will return this one, and eek out my technical needs with a few of these things I have lying about from another age, apparently when they used to work.

Thu 2/08/2018 7:06 am. ADAPTER OK; WINDOWS BROKEN

I grovel in shame before these innocent adapters, because I FORGOT important Windows mumbo-jumbo I should’ve remembered.

    1. Whenever you plug-in a new usb/ethernet adapter, windows obliterates your ethernet parameters and sets them to a default.

    2. If you then plug-in the old one, Windows *remembers* its settings, producing the behavior described above.

    3. Most (?) system will work with this casual destruction.

    4. Some won’t, including my peer-to-peer fixed numeric address ethernet.

    5. Once I remembered, fixing the ethernet settings wasn’t hard, but much too lengthy for here. Try googling for “windows ipv4 settings”.

My 32 inch TCL Roku TV 32S3700 decided to stop connecting to wifi no matter what I did. I bought this, hit the reset button on the back of the tv, plugged this in the USB port, and after about 15 seconds it connected via the ethernet cable. So happy this little, inexpensive, gem did the trick!

Ich hab den Adapter für meine Switch gekauft. Was soll ich groß schreiben.

I have a first generation Nintendo Wii that I have not used in years. Back when I purchased it in 2006 I used a wireless USB D-Link Adapter that seemed to work just fine. For whatever reason that wireless adapter does not work anymore. I’ve been meaning to download a game or two from the Wii Virtual Console Shop but I couldn’t get online. I looked on amazon and found this USB adapter. As soon as I got it I plugged it in and bam! I was updating the Wii software and downloading Yoshi’s Story for the N64. Sweet.

This little adapter comes packaged well in a cute little box. It includes an instruction manual (not that you need it because it’s plug and play) that contains instructions in Spanish, Italian, Japanese, French, Dutch and English. It comes with a 3.5 inch CD-ROM with drivers for that rare person who’s still using a dinosaur for a computer.

As said previously, it’s plug and play. There’s nothing else to do besides plugging into your USB connection and you are done.

    Buy if:

-You have a Wii/Wii-U that you want an internet hard line for
-You have a defected LAN port on your laptop / game console / Motherboard
