I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. I started his watch collection with an Invicta (Zeus) a few years ago. Ever since I have been finding him unique watches to add to the collection. As I look at the box…most are Invicta. The quality and craftsmanship is so hard to beat. This particular watch is amazing. He has always wanted a skelton style watch where you can actually see the mechanisms working. This is a decently weighted watch. My husband says that it’s very comfortable to wear and feels good on the wrist. This was definitely a score on the gift meter…not to mention…the price? So inexpensive for such high quality. Definitely not one to miss.

I was worried that it would be too big. And it is. But it’s really cool and I’m glad I bought it. For those saying it doesn’t keep time, I think it’s because they don’t know that it needs to be wound. Mine has kept perfect time for a week as long as I wind it once a day, which takes about 40 seconds.

Anyway, it’s a big manly-man watch and the first time I wore it, I got compliments on it.

All that said, it’s not for everyone. If you’re a thin framed person, this probably isn’t the watch for you. I’m 6’0″ and about 210 pounds and this thing is still pretty big. But other than that, this is a great watch.

Watch case and movement are stunning and a definite conversation piece, but the band is completely defective, and should be recalled because it’s engineering failure, causes almost instant Band breakage. The fact that the Barrel inserts CREATE 16 EXTREMELY THIN WEAK spots on the band where the barrels attach CAUSES THE BAND FAILURE!!! IF YOU DO BREAK IT’S BAND IT’S LIKELY THE WATCH WILL FALL FROM YOUR WRIST AND HIT THE HARD GROUND, BYE, BYE RUSSIAN DIVER, ALL BECAUSE OF A DEFECTIVE WATCH BAND, SO GET A NATO STRAP/BAND. I DID AND I LOVE MY RUSSIAN DIVER NOW!!!!

Very beautiful watch, fun to watch the inner workings, but it advances about an extra 30 seconds every day. Hopefully with time the wind up spring will break in and fix this? This is my first mechanical watch so I don’t know. Would have rated it better, but I do actually want it for keeping good time, not just looking pretty.

I purchased this watch a few years back and it lasted a while until my son dropped it and the second hand broke off. Before it broke it was an awesome watch and I got many compliments on it. Loved the fact it was a mechanical self wind watch too. And the weight and manliness of it all just made this a really amazing watch. I did wear the watch quite a bit even after the hand broke, but that’s when the strap strarted to break down slowly until eventually the strap ripped. I took the watch to someone who could put a new strap on but whatever pins they used originally we’re not the same as whatever I got because the new strap was not strong enough to hold the weight of the watch so it kept coming apart and dropping.

I should have listened to the other bad reviews on here, a lot of people have had problems with it arriving broken or braking in a short time.

The watch is beautiful, it’s a really great design with clear glass showing all the moving parts. But it’s terrible quality. I took mine out of the package, wound it, and it stopped ticking within 20 minutes. I tried all afternoon to get it to go but it wouldn’t. Thankfully I got fulfilment through Amazon so they took my return and I got my money back.

The rubber wrist bands crack after a week of use. But you can get a set of “Caca’s” replacement that are soft and good quality, although they don’t have the double pin mounting to the watch face, nor the correct metal instert design (aka they are made for a another design, but work well with the 26mm band size needed for the 1088. Besides the band being of bad quality, the watch and movent itself is well worth the 100$ price tag. 1 week of winding daily, and the time is within 30 seconds of true time. That blows my mind. Best part of owning this watch is seeing the balance wheel spin back and forth.

Well what to say. I have always been a. Fan of Invicta watches, especially for the price.
I have several and if you are looking for a watch that looks and feels high end but are in a low end budget buy this watch.
Good thing about Invicta is you can be waring a $200 watch and the guy next to you can be rock’n a $1500 Invicta and both are smiling just the same. And everyone around that’s admiring his watch is also admiring yours. Only a person that know the brand would even know the difference.
I would say not gif table, because you are going to want to keep this watch for yourself. There’s my 2¢.
