Even though the one currently on my phone has been on it for almost 3 years and is still is very good shape I ordered another just to have as a backup as I very rarely see the in stores. I usually see the pop socket thing and that does not suit my needs as it does not allow for my hand to be free as you need to use two of your fingers to hold the pop socket.. With this I can just slip my finger through it and still have my hand free which for me is pefect. I guess a ‘ring’ type device would work as well as you can slip your finger thru the ring and still have use of all your fingers but my guess is you still need to somehow hold on to it or bend your finger so it doesnt fall off of your finger. With this little strap once I put my finger thru it is nice and snug and I do not worry about it falling off my finger what so ever. After 3 years of use it is still nice and snug on my finger.

I changed my last strap because it was starting to show signs of wear, this one started getting weared out in less than a weeks time. I am a medical student and I travel a lot, I tend to use my strap for a long time. This one couldn’t handle my daily activities. Also the strap base isn’t flat or curved so its difficult to just slide your hand in the back of your phone and get your hand inside it. I have to use a finger to push the strap from the other side and then slide my right finger in there. It’s difficult to use and not as easy as the last one I had. I’m giving it 2 stars because it still is hanging and haven’t totally fallen off.

There was nothing “wrong” about the strap, but the actual design. I needed a lay-flat accessory for my large phone, and this was sufficiently flat to allow for wireless charging. The strap was very tight against the adhesive strip, so that I had to dig into and then wiggle a finger into position to add the security I needed…couldn’t just grab it and slide my finger in. I had to work the first finger in before I could add a second finger. It would take me almost 5 seconds (doesn’t sound long, but count slowly to 5 after pulling your phone out and then being able to use it). Not horrible, nor defective, but just not a good design.

Love this product. It prevents me from putting strain on my hand when I use my pinky to hold the phone from the bottom. No need for that anymore. And easier to take pics with one hand! Very convenient to have and doesn’t make the phone much bulkier. Only downside; make sure you stick it on exactly where you want it the first time, because if you mess up and try to reapply it, it may not stick well. That happened to me and I had to super glue it to my case! Also, just food for thought: Depending on which product you exactly have, it may interfere with phone holders you put on a bike, or in a car. My phone wouldn’t fit well in my bike phone holder, but luckily my holder had two methods of holding. One for the frame and an elastic band that covered all four corners. The elastic band is what saved me from having to buy a new holder!

So first off, in one of the answered questions the seller claims that the gostrap shouldn’t interfere with wireless charging due to it’s “flat low-profile design.” This is a lie. Unless the seller meant that it won’t interfere with wireless charging if you aren’t ALSO using a case on your phone, in which case they should’ve clarified (and only an idiot wouldn’t be using some kind of case on their phone nowadays when most phones are $500+ anymore). I have a relatively thin hard plastic case on my phone and it charged just fine through it until I put the gostrap on. Now I can’t get a charge regardless of how I position it.

This alone would be a deal breaker for me as I charge my phone almost exclusively with my wireless charger. However the main reason I even bought this strap is because my physical therapist recommended getting some kind of phone strap like this to help with hand/wrist fatigue and pain when using my phone. And so far it’s completely failed on that front as well. At best it makes no difference and at worst it actually causes MORE pain because the strap is so tight that it clamps down on my fingers, becoming uncomfortable quickly (and my fingers are pretty small, I imagine it would be much worse on someone with larger hands). But even disregarding that, it really doesn’t seem to make my phone more comfortable to hold at all. Maybe it makes it more difficult to drop your phone, but that’s not why I bought it and that’s not something I really have a problem with.

I’ll probably try and use it for a couple days before ripping it off, just to see if maybe the elastic will stretch a little and maybe make holding my phone easier. But I don’t have high hopes and I would very much like to continue to use my wireless charger.

Overall I’m very disappointed and wish I hadn’t wasted my money.

This is the second time I’ve purchased the goStrap for my phone. I had to buy the second because I replaced my phone case. Obviously these aren’t reusable, but they don’t need to be. The price is well worth the product. I regularly hold my phone by just the strap and never worry about my phone dropping.

I originally purchased this as a replacement to the loopy case, which was too expensive to buy for my new phone. I also like the sleek feel of the strap compared to other bulky products like the Loopy Case or Popsockets. The black color blends in easy to any black case.

This product is awful. I purchased a finger strap protector for y other phone 4 years ago and it was wonderful. It never slipped or came off and was very durable. This is a completely different product it did not adhere to the phone ( i did follow the instructions) kept slipping off and finally fell off completely. THIS PRODUCT IS AWFUL AND DANGEROUS because you can not count on it staying on the back of your phone. Amazon should not carry this product since it is inferior to the one I purchased 4 years ago.
