First off let’s get this out of the cannot reply to messages. Other than that this is the perfect fitness smart watch I have owned. The gt2 gives you audio and vibration for alerts, you can talk on it and speaker on watch is very loud..alarm works great with ocean sounds and vibration to wake you..moniters your stress ,sleep and heart rate.Gps locks quickly with voice driven direction on your exercise. Weather info very accurate . .
If I had any negatives to say limited watch faces ..other than that I use the watch features heavily and still get 2 weeks battery… amazing..and the screen?..better than my Galaxy watch with clarity and brightness.. recommended.

Anyone looking for a stylish smart watch with not many fancy features but all basic functions, this is the right product for you.

    Extremely lightweight
    Superb battery life
    Display looks really good
    Speakers and Mic work well
No issue in connecting to iOS
Heart rate and other biometrics are on point

Lacks basic features like customised watch faces
Very limited option in always on display
No option to set custom notification sounds
Wake up when you move your wrist is sometimes buggy
Interface can get annoying to operate with the two side buttons

All in all, if you’re looking for features then this watch lacks a lot of the fancy ones.
But if you’re a person looking for good looking smart watch with basic features and insane battery life of 2 week, then go for it

Great watch great battery life great build
You can’t install any new watch face to the watch because it is locked in the US and other place also have this problem
As a fitness watch it’s great

If you owned something like a frist gen Moto 360 and you liked the way notification looked and being able to download watch faces this is not the watch for you unless you want a fitness watch and live with out some of those smart feathers

notification are ok it doesn’t show any pictures on the watch and not every notification shows the app icon and YouTube only shows you the the title not channel name and you can’t open apps from the watch like some other watches can

If what you want is a fitness watch then get this but I would go with a galaxy watch if you want a bit more

For what I needed it for it works great. The main reason I purchased this watch is for the battery life, and it does not disappoint! I am seriously amazed at how long it lasts. I have had the watch almost 2 weeks and I charged it to 100% when I first got it, then 4 days later it was at 64%, and I charged it again, and it charges very fast. It’s at 74% right now that was 3 days ago.

Phone calls are clear and loud from the watch. Notifications are snappy and you can control what you receive and what you don’t. You cannot text back from the watch, but you can receive them.

You cannot design your own watch faces and you cannot download any extras, but it does come with some nice ones, the one I use gives me all the info: Steps, Calories, heart rate, stress lvl, Battery %, Weather, time and date.

No app support as it’s not Google wear OS, but it does come with, find my phone, flashlight, music, workout, compass, barometric pressure, weather, timer, stopwatch.

The step counter, pedometer, seems to be accurate, it’s about the same as my phones.

The sleep tracker works good, it’s not perfect but it does good. It freaked me out a little, I took a small 30min nap sitting up in a chair, and it recorded it, like how does it know that I was sleeping and not just watching tv.

The newest update has enabled the oxygen sensor, which is the second reason I bought this watch, thankfully, I was thinking it wouldn’t come to the US, but it’s here now.

Waterproof is nice, I take it in the shower, and I wash my hands frequently as I am a health care worker.

All in all its nice for the money, for the features it has they work really well, and for what it lacks, that’ll be up to you on if you need certain things or not.

I live in the US, and have a Huawei phone and Huawei tablet, they make great products, and now own a Huawei watch and am really happy with it.

I did my research on this watch before I bought it like most of your probably have/will, however it did not meet my expectations if i was going by online reviews.

The battery life is good but you will not reach seven days as promised. With Bluetooth on at all times and no exercise tracking where GPS is being used, perhaps you may scrape a fifth day if I am being generous. With GPS on and a short 30min run every day you will maybe get three days of battery life. It charges in about an hour, so not the end of the world.

The screen is beautiful, most of the watch faces are a tad, “meh”, but there is a few I liked and they do update them every so often. However, the screen size is deceptive. Certain watch faces will show you the screens true size, and the bezel’s on the outside are massive for today’s standards. On a positive, it is nice and bright the way
I like ;), so outside it holds its own in bright conditions. I had mine set to auto anyway and it adapts really fast without me noticing the shift which bugs me on my phone!

Monitoring though was spot on in all cases, heart rate especially. Sleep accuracy also was great as the watch gave me the very minute I woke up every time etc…

All in all. its pretty. Buy it, but be aware that there is no NFC as of yet because that seems to be a bit of a grey area.

If like me, battery life is an issue, upgrade to the 46mm one. It’s battery will get you to the seventh day. Two weeks would be ONLY running the bare minimum.

I think the most important thing to point out is the size. Huawei do a bigger watch which the user described as wearing a grandfather clock. I’m a man with thin wrists so big watches nono. Thankfully the size is perfect and looks very stylish. I’ve been to lazy to find out all the functions…. Maybe some day. You can choose from about 30 watch faces. My wife has an apple watch ndola it just looks clunky in comparison. Water proof, scores of so apps, the ability to load music. But the best thing it looks cool… Go for the cyan strap…. Looks great

Nice watch, just not enough can’t reply to texts, the watch faces are limited, the ones it comes with are not bad..not enough choices..the battery life is amazing! You can answer and recieve calls..this watch just needs more 3rd part applications and able to do more and it would be a power house..

This watch was ordered yesterday (13/02/2020).
The order arrived promptly. That was the only prompt thing regarding this watch. It’s an absolute nuisance to sync this watch with the apps provided on Play Store. It would not set up whatsoever. I spent 2 hours on it and all in vain. This watch was the biggest disappointment of online shopping. I purchased this watch based on online reviews and whatnot. Some people have great experience and some have bad, I had worst with this one. It’s the 2 hours of my time wasted to set up on top of my money. Do yourself a favour and buy Samsung or any other watch instead of this on. I wouldn’t recommend this watch to my enemy.

Diary of a Fitness Watch Addict. My name is Joe and I am a fitness watch addict. So far I have owned a Garmin Vivoactive 4, Garmin Venu, Huawei GT 2 (2 of them), Fitbit Blaze, Galaxy Active 2, Apple SE, and a host of watches for under $100 that promise the world (but give very little.)

    Lets talk…..

Garmin watches. Neither Garmin watch that I owned could ply music direct to earbuds. No matter what I tried. For some reason, everytime I tried to set this feature uo, it failed. It will get you outside though becuase you have to go out there and gain GPS coordinates in order to listen to music. I don’t know why; as an addict I just did as directed. It never worked. I purchases earbuds Garmin suggested and….nothing. Every once in a whil It would work, but only briefly and then,,,,,time to go outside again. The Vivoactive screen is as washed out as any I have ever seen. Battery life is metsa-metsa and that is if you don’t do much. I imagine if I was able to get music it would have cut the battery life even more. The venu has a much better screen; however, the cost in battery life is significant.

Garmin watches remind me of Microsoft computers. Spend more time diddling with them then using them. Sold mine on eBay.

The Huawei GT 2. Now there is a watch. Well made, beautiful to look at, battery life forever, syncs music flawlessly. I would love to have kept this watch. Unfortunately I don’t live in China where this watch works. In the usa this watch will only count active calories and is extremely arbitrary and capricous regarding how many you are going to get. Frustrating as hell. Don’t bother with customer service. When you tell them you are in the US you will be sent to HOLD purgatory. The one thing that this watch could do is estimate treadmill distance. I mean accurate to 1/50th of a mile. Garmin was 10 percent off every 1/4 mile and no matter how many times I would enter stridelength or the correct distance traveled on the treadmills display it would again display a significant error. Like I said, if you like dicking around with your fitness watch.

Fitbits Fitbits. I lost 50 lbs when my wife bought me one of their first models. That wrist-wife had me up walking at night to finish my goals before midnight. Now…eh…I mean monthly Fitbit fees. I don’t think so.

Galaxy active 2. Here is a watch that does everything/nothing. Again, if you like dicking with watches. First is the calorie counting which is horrible on every watch I have had. This watch is so horrible at it that, wven though it is monitoring heatrate and Sp02 your results are a joke. Don’t believe me. Take the watch off, start a workout, and watch the unearned calories start adding even though you are doing nothing. A million workouts to choose from. Try adding boxing or a host of other workouts to the watch. Not going to happen! Also, because their calorie counting is so flawed they removed total calories burned from the watch so you can’t view them. Sold mine on eBay.

So, let me save you. The Apple watch SE. Thank you God! Battery life is crap and promised to be crap so no disappointment. Syncs to Apple SE phone flawlessly; like without your help. Every workout is listed and has a specialized formula for calorie count that is amazingly accurate. Frankly I am so happy with this watch I could go on for hours. So if you feel that you are burning 300 calories a day in frustration sweat while you are trying to get your newest fitness watch to monitor your health, try the apple. Pay a little more save yourself the aggrivation.
