The instructions are clear enough but it took me hours to interpret them right. When it says “wrap around tree” I assumed that meant wrap around the tree multiple times to take up the slack. But that is not necessary and makes adjusting the height practically impossible! And ratchets and I do not get along. I had to thread it and tethread it dozens of times to get it right.
But I have six kids here age 7-12 and they are having a blast. The main problem is getting it high enough for the five feet tall 7th graders not to bottom out without making it too high and dangerous for the seven year old little sis. Kids have combined obstacles from another set by a different manufacturer and rearranged them until they have come up with a set of obstacles they can actually do. The problem with trying to rearrange obstacles is that the strap is about nine feet off the ground so a step ladder is involved. Lots of adult supervision is needed. The strap is as tight as I could do. But when someone falls or slips off, which is almost every time, the strap rebounds like a bungee cord, which makes all the obstacles go flying around dangerously. I’m glad I got this. But don’t think you can put it up and ignore it.

This is a really nice product and a great addition to our backyard play area. The set came very nicely packaged (see pictures). I was very impressed by the quality of the slack line and the obstacles. It looks and feels really high quality and durable.

Setup was very easy. Instructions were clear and easy to read. Only took about 10 minutes to figure out what I was doing and get everything set up. The carabiner system for attaching obstacles is really nice because the spacing can be adjusted very easily or obstacles can be switched around as needed.

The slack line is really long which is nice because it makes it easier to find a tree or a swing set or whatever you choose to hook it to, without being too limited by distance. The variety of obstacles makes it fun to set up in different configurations.

I have 4 boys age 2-8 and they love to climb. This Ninja kit is perfect for them. My youngest likes to just hang on the different obstacles. The older boys have had a great time trying to swing from one obstacle to the other. It can easily be set up a little higher for the older kids or lower to the ground for the younger ones. Really a fun product for all of them and even for me and my wife.

I highly recommend this product. It is really nicely made and it has already provided my boys with hours of fun and will be the highlight of our backyard this summer. Great for all ages.

I have purchased other Ninja courses for the grandkids but this one has a far superior way to attach the obstacles and hangers which means it will last longer and ultimately be safer for the kids. Other lines have a “pocket” sew onto the line to mount the attachments. What happens with this style is that as they weight of the users pulls on the grip or rope it begins to weak the thread attaching the pockets and after a while they are loose and ready to break with the next swing. The Fofana line uses the same line all the way but, metal rings are used with heavy quality metal construction style hooks to safeguard the hanger from coming loose.

We installed this in our gym. We used metal trusses to secure the line. 3 kids went on the line (one at a time) all under 100 lbs. when the 4th kid (approx 130 lbs) attempted the line, the line completely ripped in half! The line is rated for 250 lbs but broke under a 150 lb kid!

Very disappointed. Concerned my line was dry rotted or defective.

    Useful and fun. Durability TBD.

I erected mine on a hang frame. Users; 2 teens under 120 lbs and 4 adults up to 165 lbs.. We didn’t use it often, maybe 20 times.

Line bows too much in the middle for heavier guys. Next time I put it up I will shorten it so it stays more level and doesn’t bow.

Durable? Erected it, then didn’t for 3 weeks. Sat in the under tension. When we used it we noticed the top of the web sheds fibers when the sliding rings are used. It appears to be from UV weakening the web + ring Friction.

This would probably be great if erected in shade. But in the sun?… TBD.

Cons: Harder to put together than we thought! Put it up about 10 ft on two trees and our 60 pound son can still weigh it to the ground. When he releases himself to the ground the rope back up, flipping the obstacles over the rope and out of reach. The ease of use for the kids is a little frustrating. We are trying to figure out how to put it higher and have it be more stable.
Be very careful when releasing the crank mechanism- it springs! Only one kid at a time can be on it!
Pros: kids are excited to keep trying. Neat concept and perfect for wooded areas. Hoping it can be tweaked and be easier and safer for them!

Easy to put up. I’m a pretty strong guy and was able to hammer down the wratchet in between two trees about 25 feet apart. No possible way to get even one more “click” out of it. Originally did about 40 feet. There is no possible way to get it tight enough to even support an 8 year old girl and she’s about as slim as they come. I guess if I hung it 10 feet up it might work, defeating the purpose. Slack in the line from about 8 feet up on each tree still hit bottom in the middle. Total waste of time. Lasted about an hour trying every way to tighten it more, and right back to Amazon it went the same day.
